Ralph Recruitment are looking for a Head of School for an Indian IB International School in Singapore. The focus of the role will include leading on the CBSE and IB curricula within the school. This school is part of a global education group and offers a positive environment, varied curricula (offering CBSE, Cambridge, International Baccalaureate), a tech-savvy SMART Campus, with state-of-the-art facility that bases its pedagogy on 21st century learning. This purpose built environment is tailored for skill-based learning and helping students expand their horizons and develop into well-rounded global leaders.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Academic and Non-Academic functions in the respective campus.
Articulate a strategic vision for the school and the ability to lead and manage change to achieve that vision.
Design and deliver annual academic priorities and strategies in line with the organisation’s business plan
Promote and support the mission, vision, and direction of the school group.
Oversee the various curriculum in the campus (e.g. CBSE, Cambridge, International Baccalaureate, etc., as needed).
Develop and provide appropriate learning, curriculum programmes and methods of instruction
Work closely to understand student achievements, results, and feedback in the campus, and to identify areas for improvement
Evaluate teaching programmes’ relevancy and effectiveness relating to the development of students’ cognitive, physical, aesthetic, social, moral, and leadership capabilities
Develop, monitor, and review strategic plans and processes to best employ expertise, talent, and resources for the campus
Communicate regularly with faculty, staff and parents to improve the student experience and increase retention
Effectively take the School forward in a variety of internal and external forums.
Inspire and lead a structured leadership team in a results-driven environment
Collaborate with the Senior Manager Admissions to increase admission numbers and strengthen the campus’s reputation
Discuss the previous year’s data to determine trends and make predictions for the current year in terms of potential enrolment numbers and the various expenses
Manage budgets effectively and according to school and faculty strategic priorities.
Build and maintain effective collaborative partnerships within and external to the School to support the mission and objectives of the School, and school group.
Have a strong sense of equity, fairness and ethics to ensure a safe, diverse and respectful working environment which supports high performance and the development of staff.
Requirements:
Candidate MUST HAVE relevant leadership experience IB schools and with IBDP
5+ years of leadership experience within an international school
In-depth knowledge and experience with IB Curriculum
Experience in leading or being part of a team through inspection
