Ralph Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Early Years for a growing British school in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for early childhood education and a proven track record of leadership in a similar setting in the UAE or GCC. This role requires someone who can drive the strategic vision for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring the highest standards of education, care, and safeguarding for children.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Provide visionary leadership for the Early Years department, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality of education and care within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of early years educators, promoting continuous professional development.
Curriculum Development:
Oversee the planning and delivery of a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
Ensure the curriculum aligns with the British Early Years Foundation Stage framework and the school’s educational goals.
Incorporate innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
Student Welfare and Safeguarding:
Promote a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and secure.
Implement robust safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant.
Monitor and support the well-being and development of all children, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Parental Engagement:
Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring open and effective communication.
Organize and lead parent workshops, meetings, and events to support family involvement in their children’s education.
Address parental concerns and feedback with professionalism and sensitivity.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:
Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of the Early Years provision to maintain high standards.
Use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making.
Prepare and present reports to senior leadership and stakeholders on the progress and achievements of the Early Years department.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent early years teaching qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an early years setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Comprehensive knowledge of the British EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated commitment to child welfare and safeguarding.
